Terms and Conditions
Updated 11/30/07. The following Terms and Conditions apply to all websites4artists.net website clients. Text in blue or purple is linked to additional explanation. This information is intended as a guide only - please call or e-mail if you have specific questions:
Prepayment: All services must be paid in advance, and payments are non-refundable. Failure to make timely payments will result in interruption of website hosting and update services - see Suspension. Any fees we pay for insufficient funds or returned payments will be included in your balance due.
Setup Fee: This fee covers one new domain name registration, or transfer of an existing domain name to the websites4artists server. This fee also covers hosting of your website during the initial design phase.
Initial Design Phase: Generally less than one month, the period between receipt of your information (photos, text, etc.) and the first month of hosting service. During this period, minor adjustments and corrections to the website design can be made.
Design Changes: All requested website design changes and updates will be performed by websites4artists.net personnel in a timely manner, according to the updates allowed under your Plan. Due to the nature of our service, we do not allow clients to change or update their own files.
Links: Appropriate links from your website to outside resources (galleries, shows, etc.) will be added if desired. Although all links will be checked when they are created, websites4artists.net cannot guarantee that the linked resource will remain available. Broken or outdated links should be reported for your next update.
Advertisements: websites4artists.net reserves space in the footer (bottom section) of each web page to advertise our services. These ads also encourage traffic between websites4artists sites, and improve your chances of being found via search engines. We currently have no plans to offer any outside advertising placements.
Monthly Fee: This fee must be paid in advance of each calendar month of hosting service, after the initial design phase. This fee covers your domain name registration fees, website hosting and periodic updates as allowed under your Plan.
Suspension: An unpaid monthly fee will result in suspension of website hosting and update services. During the suspension period, visitors to your website will see a "This website is temporarily unavailable, please check again later" message.
Reinstatement: To reinstate a suspended website, you must pay the past due monthly fee(s), plus any additional outstanding charges on your account.
Cancellation: If you decide to cancel any websites4artists service, simply notify us by letter or e-mail. Your service will continue through the currently paid period. Advance payments cannot be refunded.
Transfer: If your domain name was originally transferred in to websites4artists.net, and you choose to move your domain name to another service provider, we will authorize the "transfer out" with no additional charge. Any website design files, custom graphics or other work created by websites4artists remains the intellectual property of websites4artists, and is not eligible for transfer.
