What is Website Hosting?
Once your website is designed, it must be "Hosted". A Hosting Server is a dedicated computer system, continuously attached to the Internet, that allows visitors to see your website at any hour of the day.
Every time you click on a link, a hosting server somewhere in the world is asked to send your computer the files needed to display the linked web page. This happens so quickly that you usually see the layout and text of the new web page within seconds, with graphics and photo files filling in slightly slower. This is because graphics and photos are larger files, so it takes longer for them to be sent to your computer.
